To organize, educate and empower people to form unifying groups for restoring and maintaining community sustainability.

Buckeyes for Change came about in early 2007 when a small group of Northeast Ohio residents came together to discuss the issues impacting our cities, state and nation. This group of citizens ready to take action to bring about change is a local representation of the American macrocosm. Men, women, students, baby boomers, multiple ethnicities and cultures, blue collar and white collar people crossed the lines of separation to bond around the idea of making our country a better place for ourselves and our future generations.

The idea of a better America, the idea of a brighter future rooted them in unity for supporting Senator Barack Obama for President of the United States. His message of hope and vision of a truly united America inspired this group to take the necessary actions as both individuals and as a group to bring about changes in their personal lives and communities. Buckeyes for Change members became a source of empowerment and support for each other. They became a catalyst for others in their communities to take action.

Today Buckeyes for Change has grown to include thousands of members. The message of Change for America has spread to people of various faiths, professions and political party affiliations. From elementary students spreading the message to their parents and grandparents to senior citizens, people are uniting across Ohio to support this movement for change.
